Squirrel Chops
Branding, Client, Web Design
Squirrel Chops is a neighborhood coffee shop and salon located in the Central District of Seattle. With the launch of their shop in the Fall of 2016, Squirrel Chops needed to establish their brand and online presence to help raise awareness within the local community.

Research & Wireframes
To inform website design I focused research on coffee shops within a 5-block radius of Squirrel Chops' location, and on non-corporate, community-style shops in the Pacific Northwest. I surveyed and interviewed craft coffee drinks to learn about their desires and behaviors.
Squirrel Chops is primarily a brick and mortar shop. Their website and social media channels were initially focused on providing clear and easy access to information about hours, location, and services.

Branding & Final Designs
Squirrel Chops had an existing illustrated image and wordmark for their brand, but needed a more versatile logo that could work across mediums. For website visitors, it was important to give them a true sense of the shop: local, boutique, natural, and rustic, with a touch of the unique.
